After Elon Musk promoted Sulaiman Ahmed’s tweet, which was found to be fake news, we investigated his background, and found that he is the owner and Head teacher of Seraphic Academy, an Islamic school in Sheffield.
A review of his posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) has also shown that he is an antisemite.
Comparing Jews and/or Israelis to Nazis is one of the most offensive slurs one can make, it is a lazy comparison which is designed to hurt Jews. Most of us have family that were murdered in the Shoah (Holocaust). The IHRA definition of antisemitism mentions it.
Additionally, Sulaiman shared a post where supposed Jewish people who allegedly work in the media were identified as part of a list and a yellow Magen David (Star of David) was placed over a picture of them for the purpose of proving that the media is controlled by Jews.
Not only is this exactly how the Nazis behaved, making lists of Jews and identifying them with a yellow Magen David also violates the IHRA definition of antisemitism:
- Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.
Sulaiman also tokenizes what he believes are “good Jews”. The people in the photo (the Neturei Karta) he shared are a tiny cult of Judaism similar to the Westboro Baptists. They are extremely homophobic and misogynistic and should not be promoted by someone who is a Head teacher.
The Neturei Karta have been declared Herem (excommunicated) for attending a Holocaust denial conference in Iran, and there is circumstantial evidences to show that they are being paid by the brutal Iranian regime. Neturei Karta also believe that when the Moshiach (Messiah) arrives all of Israel (including Palestine) will belong to them.
Sulaiman Ahmed is a Head teacher of a private school which is rated by the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted) as “good”. We will be reporting him to Ofsted and to the Teaching Regulation Agency as he is clearly in no way fit to be teaching young children. Please do the same.
