Journalist at BBC praised terrorist organization and promoted antisemitic conspiracy theory

Originally from Brazil, Camilla Costa is currently based in London and is an Interactive Journalist at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Global News. She joined the BBC in September 2010.

She is unfortunately also a bigot and antisemite, as well as being heavily biased against Israel.

Although the offending posts that our team discovered are not recent, it’s important to bring to light these examples given that the BBC has a record of flawed Israel coverage and of having antisemitic journalists in their ranks.

From this tweet, you can see that she believes “there are verifiable theories about the Jewish lobby.” This is antisemitic as per the IHRA definition.

Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.”

In another tweet she states “Godwin’s law should be reformulated and include “every time someone mentions Hitler in a conversation that has nothing to do with him , a Palestinian dies.” This post is extremely unpleasant and verging on Holocaust distortion.

Camilla also divides Jews up into “sensible” Jews who don’t support Israel and presumably non sensible Jews who do not. This is antisemitic discrimination based on Jewish views. We pray to G-d for our return to Israel and this is highly offensive.

Another of her posts states “another bitch from Israel,” we don’t think we need to explain how abhorrent this is.

One more of her tweets describes how she visited a Hezbollah museum. Hezbollah or its military wing are proscribed terrorist organisations and outlawed by the US; UK, Europe, and other countries. She calls it “impressive” and describes the exhibition as how they were organised to beat Israel.

Camilla is not only highly biased against Israel, but she has shown support for a terrorist organisation and is an antisemitic conspiracy theorist as well. The BBC has shown itself to be highly biased against Jews and Isarel, in recent years. When they employ people like Camilla it is hardly surprising.

It is our intention to complain to the BBC regarding her employment, and we suggest you follow suit.
