Background information
Andréa Oldereide has been a senior reporter for the Daily Star (Reach PLC) since October 2025. Prior to this role, she served as a content editor in the General Assignment Unit within the same organization.
A review of her activity on social media revealed that she shares extremely inflammatory content, including the use of the term “Zio,” an anti-Jewish slur popular among neo-Nazis and white supremacists. This term was first introduced and popularized by David Duke, the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. She also appears to justify the Hamas-led terror attacks on October 7 and advance the false narrative of genocide. Furthermore, in an article she wrote in 2024 for Luxembourg’s alternative webzine déi aner, she made an antisemitic statement that racially profiled Jews.
