Death and Reported Roles
- Death: Maysara Ahmad Salah (ميسرة أحمد صلاح) reportedly died on November 30, 2024, from injuries sustained in an Israeli drone strike on November 27, near Awni al-Harthani School in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza.
- Journalistic Association: The Committee to Protect Journalists identified Maysara Ahmad Salah as a video editor, camera operator, and graphic designer. The Ramallah-based Palestinian media outlet Quds News Network, for which he freelanced, described him as a journalist colleague who worked in the editing and design department at their Gaza office.
- Militant Affiliation: Several posts on social media, including images and video tributes from his brother Jawad Ahmad Salah and other family members, connected Maysara Ahmad Salah to being an operative in Hamas’ military media within the “Caliphs Battalion” (كتيبة الخلفاء) that operates in the Northern Brigade in Jabalia Camp. Reportedly, Maysara joined the elite Al-Qassam Brigades “Saqr” unit for an airborne infiltration into Netiv HaAsara on October 7.
Update: 21 May 2026. Aqmar Tofan (أقمار الطوفان), a Telegram channel that commemorates Al-Qassam militants killed during the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ (Tufan al-Aqsa), published an obituary identifying Maysara Ahmad Salah as a Qassam fighter and ‘one of the knights of military media’ in the Martyr Fawzi Abu al-Qara’ Battalion of the Northern Brigade.
Note: Maysara Ahmad Salah was one of the founders of the Telegram channel Amjad al-Shuhada (“Glories of the Martyrs,” أمجاد الشهداء).
