- Death: Salem Hosni Salem Abu Toyour (سالم حسني سالم أبو طيور) was killed on April 29, 2024, reportedly in an Israeli airstrike that struck his family’s home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
- Journalistic Association: The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) identified Salem Abu Toyour as a media worker for Al-Quds Today TV (Al-Quds Al-Youm / القدس اليوم), a satellite television channel closely affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist group. However, his employer claimed in a post announcing his death that he served as their financial director.
- Militant Affiliation: On March 19, 2026, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, released an obituary for a group of military commanders who were killed during the “Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood,” which began on October 7, 2023. Among those named is Salem Abu Toyour, a commander in PIJ’s Military Media Unit in the Central Brigade.
