Dr. Abdulla Abdullrahman Abdulla Al-Hasso, known professionally as Abdulla Alhasso, is a doctor registered with the UK General Medical Council as a consultant clinical oncologist. He currently serves at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and the Clyde Sector Breast Service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Dr. Alhasso is also a director and co-owner of Alhasso Oncology Ltd, and is active in the Scottish Palestinian Health Partnership and Glasgow Health Workers for Palestine.
On social media, Dr. Alhasso has shared highly antisemitic material, including images and messages expressing support for terrorism. Below is an overview of several examples of his antisemitic posts.
He has circulated content portraying Jews and Israelis as deliberately harming Palestinians, reflecting a modern form of the medieval blood libel that historically incited violence and murder against Jews. This fictitious story was invented in medieval England and states that Jews harm non-Jews for ritualistic purposes.
In other posts, Dr. Alhasso compares Jews and Israel to Nazis. According to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition, such comparisons constitute antisemitism. They are a malicious distortion intended to provoke distress among Jews, many of whose families suffered during the Holocaust.
Dr. Alhasso has also publicly stated that “genocidal representatives,” referring to Israelis, Zionists and Jews who support Israel, are not welcome in Scotland. This statement amounts to antisemitic discrimination and is unlawful under UK legislation.
Additionally, he has promoted baseless conspiracy theories, including claims that files related to Jeffrey Epstein reveal ISIS and al-Qaeda were American and Israeli creations, and that Epstein was a Mossad spy. Such statements demonstrate profoundly poor judgment and are incompatible with the responsibilities of a senior medical professional.
Dr. Alhasso has also expressed support for Marwan Barghouti, a convicted terrorist responsible for the murder of five people. A British doctor publicly supporting terrorism is unfit to serve in a healthcare environment and should face legal consequences.
