Death and Reported Roles
- Death: Hudhayfah Tayseer Ayesh Al-Najjar (حذيفه تيسير عايش النجار) was killed on October 28, 2023, reportedly in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the Al-Farra family home in the center of Khan Younis, where he was staying.
- Journalistic Association: The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) described Hudhaifa Tayseer Al-Najjar as a journalist. UNESCO uncritically repeated this claim, while the transparency watchdog and investigative organisation Airwars “mistakenly” classified him as a civilian casualty of war.
- Militant Affiliation: Aqmar Tofan (أقمار الطوفان), a Telegram channel that commemorates Al-Qassam militants killed during the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ (Tufan al-Aqsa), published an obituary identifying Hudhaifa Tayseer Al-Najjar as a Qassam fighter in the Artillery Battalion of the Khan Yunis Brigade.
