BACKGROUND INFORMATION

- Tom Carroll is reportedly the Unite Against Fascism organiser in North London. He also operates the Anti-Fascist Action UK accounts on Instagram and Threads.
- On 28 May 2026, Tom Carroll reshared video footage originally recorded by him and first posted to the Anti-Fascist Action UK accounts last November, which shows him abusing Dame Helen Mirren over her support for Israel and calling her an “evil Zionist b*tch”. On this occasion, the video began trending on social media platforms. A link to our post on X identifying him is provided here.
- During our investigation, we found that Tom Carroll has a history of abusive and violent conduct. In 2018, he was wanted in connection with an assault on an 84-year-old woman at Shoreditch High Street station in east London. He handed himself in to police in 2023, admitted to a public order offence of threatening behaviour, and was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and 200 hours of community service.
- We also found highly disturbing, Nazi-level antisemitic content on his Instagram and Threads accounts and urge our supporters to report it to the police as hate speech and incitement to racial hatred.
