- Death: Aql Hussein Aql Saleh was killed on January 15, 2025, during military operations in in the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City.
- Journalistic Association: The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) and several Palestinian media outlets, including the Saba News Agency, identified him as a journalist.
- Militant Affiliation: The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (an armed group) identified him as a field commander within their organization. They stated he was killed while “performing his combat duty”.
