- Death: Mustafa Kamal Abdel Qader Bakir (مصطفى كمال عبد القادر بكير) died on November 23, 2023 (though some sources report November 24, 2024). He reportedly died from injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the Bakir family home in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, two days earlier.
- Journalistic Association: The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) described Mustafa Bakir as a journalist and a camera operator who worked for Hamas-affiliated Al Aqsa TV, while the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) referred to him as a photographer.
- Militant Affiliation: Aqmar Tofan (أقمار الطوفان), a Telegram channel that commemorates Al-Qassam militants killed during the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ (Tufan al-Aqsa), published an obituary identifying Mustafa Bakir as a field commander in the Artillery Battalion (Rafah Brigade) and a member of its Military Media unit.
