- Journalistic Association: The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) identified Ahmed Badir as a journalist for Bawabat al-Hadaf (بوابة الهدف الإخبارية, “The Al-Hadaf News Portal”), a Gaza-based news website recognized as the official media outlet of the terrorist organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
- Militant Affiliation: The Central Military Media Department of the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the PFLP, published an obituary mourning the death of their comrade, fighter Ahmed Badir.
