BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Louis Brehony is a musician with the Manchester-based Arabic music group Gazelleband (فرقة الغزال), as well as an author and writer.
On 22 June 2024, Louis Brehony led a march in Manchester at which he publicly praised what he described as “the heroic actions of 7 October.” He has also repeatedly expressed support for Hamas and advocated violent resistance on the streets of Britain. He is also the admin of the Manchester branch of the Revolutionary Communist Group (RCG), “Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!”, on Facebook, and a supporter of Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which is now banned and designated as a terrorist organisation by multiple countries.
He has been reported to Counter Terrorism Policing; however, as far as we are aware, no action has been taken.
